Mantis boosted with Jimi Alonsohai injury concern

Mantis acting captain Acied has dismissed rumours that influential midfielder Jimi Alonsohai will be out for six months with a knee injury.

He said: "2 bulan, maybe 3 bulan, I expect him back by then.

"Certainly not six."

"Some things are still missing, but it's not the time to work on them"

Lords Kechik appeared pleased with his team's progress during the press conference offered following Mantis's match against Through the Fire and Flames

How do you value this first game incharged?

I think it was a very useful game and that's important against a strong team in MMU. I asked the team to put pressure and try to move the ball fast. I think we achieved that.

What is wrong with Ron Yusoff?

He suffered a knock to his tibia. It was a hard tackle that we unfortunately saw on more than one occasion in the match.

Is this the "Real" Mantis we will see this year?

I repeat, we have two weeks of preparing to do for next match and nothing is definite. We will look at performance, different formulas. I think we are improving.

What can you expect from the next opponent?

Spirulina is a complicated rival. I hope we can continue improving. All coaches want their team to improve and they aren't worried about matters that don't correspond to the moment.

What improvements did you see?

We dominated in the first 15 minutes first half but had trouble finishing. We kept up the pressure in the second half and attacked the goal. The team is learning concepts and improving.

What was it you liked most and least of the match?
I liked how we recovered the ball on their half of the pitch during the first half. We pressurised well whenever we lost possession.

Acied pushed Zhafri away but this enraged the goalkeeper even more. He then put his hand on Aciedi's head and grabbed him by the hair before team mates and at least one opponent (Zul Rossi) came in to separate the pair.
